Hobby Academia is a community-focused hobby studio and retail space based in north Edinburgh — just outside the city centre — designed especially for hobbyists, model kit builders, miniature painters, wargamers, and creatives of all levels.
Whether you're passionate about Gunpla, Warhammer, miniature painting, or simply want a peaceful space to focus on your builds, Hobby Academia is your new go-to destination.

Our studio features:
- 24 dedicated hobby desks for building, painting, and experimenting
- Free use of entry-level tools for beginners and casual users
- A selection of high-end tools available to try, including Gunprimer and other industry favourites
- A friendly, welcoming space to learn, share techniques, and connect with others
We are currently running the space as a trial, and we genuinely welcome your feedback and suggestions. Your input will help us shape a studio experience that best serves our local hobby community.

🎉 Weekly Hobby Nights
Join our hobby nights on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5pm to 10pm. Spaces are available for building, painting and wargames.
These sessions are free and open to all skill levels — a great way to meet people and stay inspired.
