GUNDAM ASSEMBLE is an official competitive miniature tabletop game from BANDAI SPIRITS, bringing together the world of Gunpla model building and strategic tabletop gaming.
Instead of simply building and displaying your favourite Mobile Suits, GUNDAM ASSEMBLE lets you take them onto the battlefield.
Players build and customise approximately 5 cm tall Gunpla miniatures, form their own squad of Mobile Suits, and battle across a tactical game board where movement, terrain, unit abilities, Tactics Cards and dice rolls can all influence the outcome.
Whether you're already a Gunpla builder, a tabletop gamer, or completely new to both, GUNDAM ASSEMBLE offers a new way to experience the Gundam universe.
Build Your Mobile Suit Squad
At the heart of GUNDAM ASSEMBLE are miniature Gunpla models representing Mobile Suits and other units from across the Gundam universe.
Just like traditional Gunpla, the miniatures are supplied as plastic model kits for you to assemble. You can build them as they are or take the hobby further by painting and customising your units to create a squad that's uniquely yours.
Mobile Suits from different Gundam series can meet on the same tabletop, opening the door to battles and team combinations that would never normally be possible within a single Gundam timeline.
How Does GUNDAM ASSEMBLE Play?
GUNDAM ASSEMBLE is a squad-based tactical miniature game played on a battlefield divided into hexes.
Each Mobile Suit is represented by both its miniature and a Unit Card, with abilities and characteristics designed to reflect the unit.
During battle, you'll manoeuvre your units across the battlefield, use their weapons and abilities, play Tactics Cards and roll dice to resolve attacks. Terrain and positioning matter, so winning isn't simply about bringing the strongest Mobile Suit — how and when you use your units is an important part of the game.
When a unit activates, it can perform actions including:
- Advance – move across the battlefield
- Attack – use one of the unit's weapons against an enemy
- Dash – sacrifice time for additional movement
- Energize – gain Energy for abilities
- Rescue – interact with Garrisons and gain Victory Points
- Command Abilities – use special abilities associated with your unit
- Tactics Cards – play cards that can influence the battle
A Timeline system controls when units activate, adding another layer of strategy to your decisions. Different actions can affect when a unit will next be ready to act.
More Than Just Destroying the Enemy
GUNDAM ASSEMBLE is scenario-based, so battles aren't necessarily won simply by eliminating every opposing Mobile Suit.
Depending on the scenario, players can earn Victory Points by destroying enemy units, rescuing Garrisons, controlling objectives and completing scenario-specific goals.
This allows the game to recreate battles inspired by the Gundam series while also giving players the freedom to create completely new match-ups and strategies.
You might recreate an iconic confrontation from Gundam history — or find out what happens when Mobile Suits from entirely different universes meet on the same battlefield.
A New Way to Enjoy Gunpla
GUNDAM ASSEMBLE combines two sides of the hobby:
BUILD → CUSTOMISE → ASSEMBLE YOUR SQUAD → BATTLE
For Gunpla builders, it gives your finished models a new purpose beyond the display shelf.
